WATERFIX® – water-tight PU foam
The WATERFIX® special foam from Pichler Chemie is a new development in the field of sealing and guarantees an unprecedented sealing solution for all types of culverts in civil engineering.
WATERFIX®’s unique chemical composition guarantees a water, gas and oil-tight seal of up to 1 bar.
The tiresome subject of watertight sealing
Drilling, laying pipes, wiring and cables, where professional sealing is of the highest priority. Here, classic PU foams are absolutely unsuitable and special fountain foams offer, as the name already suggests, a reasonably adequate sealing solution only when bonding shaft rings. However, only up to a maximum of 0.1 bar. And this is exactly where the new development of special foam from Pichler Chemie comes into play. For shafts of any kind, the use of WATERFIX® for inlets and outlets guarantees a watertight, oil- and gas-tight seal. A seal that primarily is water-tight and holds up to 1 bar.
With in- and outlets into shafts, with core drillings through basement walls, with all lead-throughs in the roof and façade area, WATERFIX® can be used in a variety of ways and guarantees a never before existing water-pressure-tight and in particular gas-tight seal. On top of that, WATERFIX® adheres to all common building materials such as concrete, fibre cement pipes, plastic pipes and much more.
Where do I apply WATERFIX®:
- Pressure-water-tight shaft and building execution
- Sealing in the production of gas, local and district heating connections
- For breakthroughs in the roof area such as exhaust ducts, interlocking pantile airings, electric cables, bushings of photovoltaic and solar systems
- For wall ducts of exhaust pipes and electric cables in the facade area
- for the repair of existing, leaky constructions
Waterproof assembly of door elements
Barrier-free building and living is becoming more and more a trend in new buildings as well as in the renovation of existing houses. What many future homeowners and “home builders” do not know, however, is how to ensure a safe and tight seal when installing window and door elements, especially in the lower connection area of terrace and balcony doors. Safe sealing is an essential issue, especially in times when zones of flood defence zones are continually being expanded. Furthermore, unfortunately, more and more heavy storms can be expected and so massive water damage may be caused through leaky connection strips from terrace and front door elements. Damage that could have been avoided by using WATERFIX®. Here the special foam from Pichler Chemie can be used as a lower and lateral connection to the structure. Thus, a pressure-water-tight and gas-tight installation of the door elements can be guaranteed for the first time, which prevents the ingress of water into the screed or into the floor structure.
