EMICODE® is a trademark-protected seal and describes the emission behaviour of laying materials and construction products. These include, among others, fillers, sealants, adhesive tapes, parquet lacquers and adhesives. The environmental and interior hygiene certification mark has been awarded by the GEV (Community Emissions-Controlled Laying Materials, Adhesives and Construction Products, Dusseldorf) since 1997 to products from manufacturers that undergo strict quality controls and regular review.
EMICODE® is subdivided into the following 3 emission classes based on the strictly defined GEV test method (emission test chamber) and the GEV classification criteria:
EMICODE® EC 1: Very low emission
EMICODE® EC 2: low emission
EMICODE® EC 3: Not low in emissions
The following requirements are placed on the maximum emissions of emission-controlled products.
EC 1 PLUS
after 3 days TVOC
after 28 days TVOC / TSVOC
≤ 60 / 40
≤ 100 / 50
≤ 300 / 100
The low-emission products enable clean and healthy room air. Therefore, pay attention to the quality seal EMICODE®!
